Cliveden is an extensive country estate, set high above the River Thames in Buckinghamshire, consisting of a mansion, formal gardens, river and woodlands.
To mark the 350th anniversary of history at Cliveden, the National Trust put together a year of celebratory events, art installations and conservation work. After a competitive pitch, we were appointed to capture this milestone in a visual identity which would enhance the on-site experience.
350 years of passion, pleasure and politics at Cliveden
As part of the process, we visited the site to get to know the environment, its visitors and its people. Cliveden’s Spirit of Place statement was important in the designs, as we sought to capture themes of grandeur, glamour, beauty and comfort.
