Love Leeds Parks is a charitable initiative dedicated to protecting and improving over 600 parks, woodlands and green spaces for current and future generations to enjoy.
Connecting people, place and planet
With 97% of Leeds’ population using their local parks, the challenge was to create a brand that such a wide demographic could relate to. The identity needed to feel strong, trustworthy and welcoming, whilst also promoting well-being and the benefits of investing in parks.
We designed a distinctive logo combining a heart and a tree. These simple icons instantly communicate the spirit of the charity. In addition, we created an illustration of a park scene to capture the variety of experiences people have every day throughout the city’s green spaces. The illustration can be used in full, or with elements picked out and used in isolation. This provides versatility, with an adaptable look for different audiences.
As part of the project, we also produced a promotional brochure to encourage businesses and individuals to ‘give something back’ to a place that is special to them.
